Yes HQ is usually overkill. But even proRes 422 should be 90gigs approx for a 90min project.

Good advice from Chris. However, I would recommend NOT checking the box for "Max Bit Depth" though - that only applies when working with high bit-depth sources like 10-bit video, which I doubt you are

HI Lydia Just wondering if you ever found the best method to convert I do weddings and a 2 to 2.5 hours timelime is normal. When working in SD I would use DL DVD and set compressor settings around 5.5

1. even though compressor does an "ok" job of down sizing, make sure the resize option is enabled and set for best. If you want it better, resize in after effects or motion to an SD Anamorphic file. C

Hi Wayne, IMX is much better codec than DV, so send to Compressor from the time-line or export a self-contained IMX movie and import to Compressor. Don't worry about the size (486 480). Compressor aut
