I'm having the same problem. Both with lost smoothcam renders and the clips appearing unanalyzed. I'm exporting as self-contained QT and import back into FCP now as previously suggested.

Hi, I have some Quicktime files that were recorded on a VIO POV.1 helmetcam. I shot 5 2GB SD cards worth of video (total 7 hours) and all the footage is fine except for the file from the last SD card.

so it's the data storage device that's the problem, not the file. You could try a data recovery application like Date Rescue. But I doubt you're going to be able to repair these. Guessing the card was

David's advice should work, but in the future you can avoid it by using FILE EXPORT QUICKTIME CONVERSION Same thing as what David's saying, just without having to add the .mov yourself.
