Thanks for the suggestion, Neil. I see now what the problems were. The software is a little buggy and crashes unexpectedly sometimes. But also the archived DVD footage I was trying to rip was recorded

I'm not finding anything on CuteDCP and Premiere posted here. I know that PP CC has a plugin, but I'm using CS6 and would love any reviews or feedback anyone has about using CuteDCP. Thanks!

At the absolute very least, while you're pondering the archiving issue, get some new tape stock and make BetaSP backups of the old tapes, which realistically probably won't last another fifteen years.
