Double checking : AE raster-based ? If yes, how to preserve appearance of small contents ?
by Charles Thin 3 years ago
Hi everyone, So I am animating some sprites on a large world map. Each sprite is a pixel graphics inside its own composition. And even though my whole target composition (the world map) has a high res
Re: Double checking : AE raster-based ? If yes, how to preserve appearance of small contents ?

I don't understand how this would help. If your final resolution is fixed, blowing up the comp will just create extra render time, and then the pixels will have to be reinterpolated back to the final
Math.round: show always a number of 2 digits
by Davide Mitidieri 3 years ago
Hi, I'm using the expression Math.round(effect(("Slider Control")("Slider"))) in the source of a text layer, which contains a slider. I need to show always 2 digits of the integer number in the slider

use Cassius's expression for each group of numbers, and then join them together by simply adding them. So say you have two sliders, one for seconds and one for minutes (is that what you're doing ): se
What File Type Is Best For Image Sequencing?

Re: What File Type Is Best For Image Sequencing?

Nuh-uh. LZW is mathematically lossless, i.e. what you get out is bit-for-bit the same as what you put in. LZW just removes redundancy in the file, without any processing of the image. That's how it ca
Selecting a layer using Extendscript

I think you just need to select the layer first (not tested, but should be close): app.project.activeItem.layer("your layer name").selected = true; Dan

Any way of automatically getting rid of those audio pops or clicks that often occur between clips?

This is something that takes up a great deal of time in my daily workflow. The best way I have had to deal with them up to now is to set CMD+D to default audio transition and add (manually) a 2 frame

I've developed a technique where you can use text layers as expression editors. This has a couple of advantages: you can use one text layer to drive multiple layers and properties meaning that you onl
