Partition Question

I just want to get a few thoughts on partitioning. I am running FCP 6 on a MacPro Quad Core, 8 gigs of ram, OS 10.4.11, 4 internal hardrives 500gigs each, and an external 2tb raid 5 setup. I have yet

DVCPro50 seen as 16fps

I captured a DVCpro 50mbs footage with the DV50 NTSC 48k set for both the sequence and the capture. A 4:45 minute file is 1.12gb. When I open the file to play it looks choppy. Final Cut says its 29.97
