I think thats a good idea. In my experience replacing the stock lens with nicer glass really increased the performance of the camera and it will give you better performance when close to wide open. I

Thanks Richard, I wasn't modifying the templates I think that may have been the problem. Be nice if the templates automatically adjusted for the sequence settings in fcp.

I see Panasonic have released the 64 gig p2 cards, in Australia it seems you can only get 8 and 16 gig cards at this stage. I'd love a couple of 32 gig cards, or 64, or 128...

According to DVUSER (see PMW-EX3 further up) 32GB will be available in September and 60GB HD recorder in July. No mention of firmware update to allow other cards. Sandisk has been quiet too.

Maybe i'm missing something. When I try making progressive SD files from HDCAM EX (1080.25p in FCP) they always end up being interlaced. I always tick the Progressive box in Compressor for SD output.

How good is the xdcamex picture quality on an sd dvd with that process does it look better than material originating on sd My experience using hdv downconverted to sd dvd was that it looked much worse
