I don't believe so. Media Express is a capture playback software. I don't see anyway for it to edit or convert a file. Sony vegas Pro 10 works with DPX files now. You can download a free trial version

What about media files which are not CAPTURED but directly copied from sd cards of jvc 700 . Should i edit them directly with blackmagic preset or do i need them converted first

jvc250 or sony dsr NOT have 4:2:2 color sampling, only 4:2:0 in PAL mode jvc have 1 3 matrix, DSR 2 3 if you have 4:2:2, try another way: JVC on component port makes 1080i (or 720p) in 4:2:2 color spa

The render will be identical, it will just probably take longer. You just need to make sure you have the same plug-ins and fonts installed on both machines.
