I have a CHILD sequence whose resolution is 1920x1080. All of the footage in this sequence is 3840x2160. All of the clips are scaled down 50%. This approach is used so that I can zoom and pan the foot

Not sure what I just did, but I think I replied incorrectly somehow. Anyway, thank you Alex for helping me. Exactly what I was looking for. Sometimes a fire extinguisher catches fire.

Not sure if Cleaner or FCP allow you to scale your video to that resolution, or which application used to set those dimensions. And although it is optimal to scale in halves (640,320,160...480,240,180

Re: DV Footage Quality (Transcode Settings)

Oh yeah, and don't use Microsoft DV, as it causes compression artifacts - I hate them! Render it out uncompressed before encoding it in whatever program you're using. I think the artifacts may even ma
can you make buttons a shape besides a square
by Dustin 14 years ago
I am making a dvd menu that has circular navigation, a circle is divided into 6 slices, each slice being a button, and I'm trying to make the buttons highlights be the slice shape rather than a square

That's a great idea. Though by looking at his menu, I wouldn't be surprised if it were a motion menu, making the navigation very studdery.

If the footage doe not stand on its own, visually, then you'll have to annotate it (title overlays). If your annotation with visuals doesn't convey your editing skill message, then perhaps you'll have
