As far as I can tell, it does not work without an hdlink. I'm not clear on why the Nec monitor can't accept a signal from the decklink card directly. Perhaps someone from blackmagic can chime in. Josh

That approach certainly works (it's basically how we do nearly all of the network dramas and comedies at Level 3 Post), but it's not the "round trip" workflow that's probably being requested here. It'

Thunderbolt currently only has a fraction of the bandwidth of a 16X Pcie 2.0 slot. I believe it is only X4 which is not enough bandwidth for the fastest GFX cards. -Rob- Robert Houllahan Director Colo
