Peak level specs apply as Shane says. The new LKFS loudness rules do not apply as the M&E is not the final track for broadcast. I make the M&E from the mix and undip as that is the normal requirement.

Isn't the choice of viewing the subtitles in the DVD player and remote Unless you burn the titles in, they should by default be hidden.

I think your both right on that. The audio guy suggested it, but it lends to sound not being tight so i'm bringing the ambient down, panning it to center, panning boom mic to center and bringing volum
