The Sennheiser A block covers 518-554MHz, the B block covers 630-662MHz & the G block covers 566-608MHz. Based on the Sennheiser chart I would stay away from the A block. The B & G blocks are your bes

All things considered, the AT897 and NTG2 are very similar. If you recorded exactly the same source at the same time I think that most people would not hear the difference. The NTG3 does sound better,
