Well, if you don't want to use the clip at normal speed, ONLY as slow motion, feel free to just conform the clip. You still have the masters backed up somewhere, right If you DO want to use it as norm

If you are only dealing with the RED and Canon 5D you might not need speeds that the HDPro2 can provide. You might look at the HDOne or HDElement. You are looking to get 4 units Jared Picune CalDigit.

I think you should seperate your Io hd from your hard drive, since your d2 Quadra has esata port, i would suggest you get a esata express card to do so. you could get a faster speed than firewire port

As long an you don't select recompress all frames, you will not add additional compression when using export QuickTime movie (using current settings). Make sure to select make movie self contained.
