I'm shooting footage on JVC GY-HD101E, then will be editing in FCP (latest version), but am interested in buying a Connect LE so I can feed the 720 25p footage though it so it comes out of the SDI SD

I agree, FCP is a totally different beast to FCE. There is a whole ton more to it than the basic fact that FCE is based around DV HDV only. There are pages upon pages of differences. It's only because

Thanks for that done. I was a tad concerned as I know Canon XL-H1 and Sony Z1 HDV footage do not mix on the time line, but this is obviously a HDV thing.

Anyone want to weigh in on the advantages of the two 24p modes on the XL2 I know that they have the 2:3 pulldown mode which is ideal if you plan to putting out to film. They also have the 2:3:3:2 mode

The explanation is a bit confusing, so bear with me. The Canon XL2 does shoot native widescreen but the actual chip size is 4x3. What they do is disable the top and bottom pixels to get a 16x9 widescr

Try downloading Cyberduck to see if it works: http: cyberduck.ch My guess would be that you simply need to reinstall Transmit.

Oh yes, I've just noticed that internet widgets are not working either. Both computers. I've also tried bypassing the router but the same thing happens.
