by Mike Leonard 4 years ago
Hi fellow Resolvers! I've been following these (and other) forums for quite some time now and it always has been a great help! But now that I am about to "step it up a notch", regarding my setup, I th

I have a bit of a follow-on question. Thinking of building a new Intel Skylake Windows 10 PC. I realize Resolve won't use the Intel graphics, but... can I use the Intel graphics to run my desktop GUI
Generator question
by David Mathis 3 years ago
I decided to go ahead and do my own countdown leader. I did it at 24 FPS in Motion. Will this work for all frame rates inside of Final Cut or will I need to do one for each frame rate Second question
Re: Generator question

I believe I can answer your second question. Now I did this a couple of years ago I think in Motion 5.0.x or 5.1.x, but I took screen grabs using VLC from the preview video which Motion created for my
Any way to output separate audio tracks in Resolve 11?
by Don Eitner 5 years ago
I'm new to Resolve but not entirely new to video editing (have used Final Cut "classic" in the past). I searched through the PDF manual and online but could find no solution to my question. I have DaV

Sorry, I think we're talking about different things. What I'm trying to do is, for example, to output a single Quicktime file which has both an English language track and a Spanish language track, but

On the View menu go down to User Interface Layout and then click Show Window Frame. You can then resize (i.e. maximize) the window using the standard OSX "green circle" button at upper-left of the win

What cables you need depends on what your Mac Pro offers. The 2010 Mac Pro has 2x6 pin PCIe power leads, but they're a non-standard size (what a surprise in an Apple device, eh ). The card which shipp
Dual video cards but different models?
by Don Eitner 5 years ago
Now that Motion (and FCPX) support multiple video cards, does anyone have experience running a 2009-2012 Mac Pro with 2 DIFFERENT model video cards Example, I have the stock Radeon 5770 in my 2010 Mac
Re: Dual video cards but different models?

In case anyone else had the same question, I got an answer from Rob-ART Morgan of Bare Feats that FCPX and Motion ignore the 2nd GPU if it is not identical to the first. And it looks like Apple have s

To your point about reusing the keyer, would you just keep it in a .motn project file and when you need it copy & paste it out as a group into whatever other project you're working on Or could you sav

Here's a new tutorial which might be of interest to somebody - a little bit more complex than the average linked assembly, it shows how to create this linked mechanism, a drive cog which drives a chai

This... is... awesome! I had no idea about the Indent filter. I've been layering up and individually coloring shapes by hand like a chump to fake a 3D embossed look. How did you come up with the numbe
Frustrating random animation glitches in Motion 5

I'm hoping someone can help explain the behavior I'm seeing in the attached video clip. Using Motion 5 on OSX 10.6.8 (Mac Pro 2010 with 12GB RAM and Radeon 5770 video card). This is a larger project b

I rebuilt the entire transition project from scratch and the glitching is much less, but still present. Of the 25 tiles (in a 5x5 grid) the issue begins with the center-most tile and causes the 2 tile

Is the group these objects are in 2D or 3D In 2D they should "stack" in the order that the layers appear in the layer browser. In 3D they stack by the z-order of the objects' positions.

Does anyone have any thoughts (preferably insight) on why the 7950 is so much slower than the 5770 with Motion 5 Could it be as simple as an immature driver in 10.8.3 which might get better in 10.8.4
