actually. you need to IMPORT afresh. as re-import won't be offered. and as mentioned on the link I posted, prior to that you need to delete the event file from the fcpx event by ctrl clicking it in ca

thanks for this - and yes, you are right of course. at first we were on different machines which is why we were doing that. but then we got a general error trying to work with fcp and stp together...

hi all thanks for all your comments so it looks like we will gor for this: exporting from fcp7 at original settings (prores etc) use latest version of compressor (4.0.7) to make an mp4 file that's h26
