Hi folks
I'm still using FCP 7 for transcoding .mts files. I shot a bunch of clips via panasonic AF100 and most of the .mts files are readable, but some are not and they don't appear in the log and transfer clip list. I can open the files in VLC and MPEG streamclip but unrecognizable with all the meta data. One card has 15 clips of which only 12 show up in the queue list. Any ideas??

I think all you have to do is convert the .mts to ProRes in FCP (or other) and then put it on a 23.98 or 29.97 timeline Thanks in advance, Dorit

I've seen a few quick tutorials on importing AF100 footage (MTS format) and they all seem to suggest native import into Premiere. However, I'm wondering what happens to all that metadata that travels

Regarding this issue, how much bigger than the .mts files are the ClipWrap files and is it possible to edit ClipWrap .mov files in FCP 7 without transcoding to ProRes I ask this because the transcodin

totally basic question

Just got the AF100 and some excellent 16GB SDHC cards. I thought I'd get 30 minutes of recording time at 1080x24p. Is this correct Seems like I'm getting less time. Same question regarding the AC160.
Re: totally basic question

what numbers did you input I'm shooting 1080x24p. AVCHD @ 25mbps. I'm not having any issues with the recording, just trying to get a handle on the numbers and real-life record times I can expect to se
