Point of interest; check out the change in exterior exposure between the next to last shot and the final shot that starts with McFly Sr. riding by on his bike. A good 1-2 stops deeper, and it's moved

Here's an alternative to a silk. Try flying a double. It won't soften the shadows, but it will knock them down a stop...enough to open them up. You can probably even get away with a big bounce for fil

Yea, that's kind of what I've been doing. A real pain...especially when you factor in not being able to adjust aperture in live view either. Definitely not a "Run 'n Gun" camera.

Kino has had many different ballast versions over the early years and they now have the individual switch for each tube and the tubes burn much more constant in color temp. The early days were a mess
