That would be fantastic Jari,
Thanks very much. It's all a bit daunting at the moment.
I think the multiple project is a good way of working, creating compound clips for sub edits doesn't really help in the test's I have done. If a sequence is really long for example it takes ages to create.
Have you had any experience using keyframes on audio tracks?

I have to very basic questions if anyone could please help.
I'm cutting a sequence on fcp. Im using a macbook pro, Media and projest is on a rugged drive. 1st question is, when I plug the Ext drive into a mac tower to finish off edit, the media is offline. Everything I try will not relink the media.
The 2nd question is, I'm trying to create a black circle that decreases over 25 frames at the end of the sequence, the image running inside circle. A simple closing of an iris. I can only make a circle, that when it reduces, you see the edge of the box. I know this is basic, but any help would be very gratefully received. Dan

I am about to recut a film that has been onlined, audio mixed and graded. It's 20 mins too long. I have two questions I am hoping someone can help me with-
1. Can I use the 2k conformed graded rushes in fcp, and link them to the offline edit? if not do I have to export them to Pro res first?
2. Is there any way of avoiding a total re mix of the sound to avoid any further cost's. Would it be daft to lay in the stereo mix to fcp, and only go back to the original stems if I need to? Any help would be much appreciated, Dan
