5.1 routing

Is it me or is it FCPX I have recently discovered that the routing of 5.1 sound channels as per FCPX's level meter indicates gives an incorrect output configuration when played back on a Dolby encoded

This is not a FCPX issue. You need to go to the utlilites folder in Applications and open the Audio MIDI Setup.app. Then click on the Configure Speakers button in the bottom right corner and correctly

I had this same problem, but was fixed for me when I upgraded to the latest 10.1.3. Now I can scale text without pieces getting cut off.

To scale, you do not have to scroll down in the inspector as far. So I guess there is some advantage.

I remember getting the QuickTime -50 error a lot. To fix it, I had to delete all render files before export. Also, turn off auto render.

I created my own HD title safe which also includes the 4x3 safe zones using photoshop. I stick it up at the top layer and delete after all graphics have been placed.

When you hit share, select your settings and then hit next, a finder window should open for you to select your destination.

FCPX is absolutely locked and blocked with a project stuck in my Share Monitor - it has been cancelling it for 5 hours to no avail. As a result nothing will export, not even going to compressor - ever

Try opening Compressor then go to the menu Compressor reset background processes then choose reset and cancel. That should stop the batch stuck "canceling" in share monitor. Reboot.

Top right corner of the viewer window has a switch that drops down. "Show Both Fields" is in there.

Glad it is working for you now. I rolled the dice and updated from 10.6 to 10.8 without doing a clean install. So far no problems except some of my PowerPC applications no longer being supported. Mac
