underneath your cropped clip place another clip of the color you want the border to be and crop it so that it looks like you have the border you want.

Set your project settings in FCPX to Prores 444, then export "same as source" in the share window. If it's still not working, delete your render files for that Project and try again.

If any media was outside the library in the original library, the new library will still be linked to that same external media. Just run consolidate on the new library to finish the process. It'll cop
