If you use Premiere the PC would be a better bang for the buck. Try to get laptop with a true quad core i7, GTX 1080 and Thunderbolt 3. That should last a good 3 to 4 years. Having said that you might

Do you have Mercury Transmit Enabled Also for Playback options you have to select the Intensity. It will also give you an option to not output unless resolution and frame rate match or you can select

The GTX 1060 3GB version and the GTX 1050 are not that expensive and they have the newer technology. It would probably be money well spent.

Do you need 4K previews or just 10 Bit color I like using my intensity Shuttle but any of the products from AJA, Blackmagic Design and Matrox should work OK. I use it for clients with interlaced video
