Anybody HAPPY?

Far be it from me to start a thread that might lead to some positive energy LOL but I'm curious. Is anybody looking at this and saying, "Wow, what a great update," or "This has exactly the features I
Re: Anybody HAPPY?

Yeah, happy so far. 10.0.0 was a good (new) direction. 10.0.9 really had most of what we wanted for everyday use. 10.1 looks and feels nice so far. We're moving from desktop RAIDs to shared storage so

There's an Apple script floating around somewheres... which lets you add video files to a folder at the Finder level, and whatever is in there is played as a screensaver. I'll see if I can find it. Yo
Predictions for FCPX in 2013
by Steve Connor 4 years ago
So it's 2013 and despite Aindreas's best efforts, FCPX doesn't appear to have been EOL'd yet, what features do we think we'll be seeing added to FCPX this year I think Apple will add an audio mixer or

I will also pitch the prediction that X gets a full number upgrade to "XI", in a rebranding effort. Final Cut Pro XI. This could diffentiate a product that just entered the market from one with it's w

Hi James, I've used Final Cut Pro X and P2 together recently. Although this isn't my normal combo. Here's what I've found: 1. FCPX loves 1080i p footage 2. FCPX responds with one error message per car
Tonight's the night

Since 10.0.4 was (like 10.0.5) really a bug fix update, you have to go back to 10.0.3 released February 1 if you're looking for stuff to demo. That seems like really old features to be demoing for thi

Why FCPX Seems Faster on Thunderbolt Macs
by Andrew Richards 5 years ago
I've noticed several posts over the past year where people claim that FCPX seems to "just run better" on a 2011 iMac or MacBook Pro compared to a Mac Pro. We all knew from the NAB preview of FCPX that

Great find! Now if I could shove 16 CUDAs in a Sandy Bridge OSX handheld to project my real time holographic 2Pac assistant editor, I'd be living the portable dream.

FCP, while it can ingest and work with AVCIntra natively, there are no sequence presents for AVCintra. So it might just need to be converted to ProRes, so FCP can understand it better. It's like...it'

From my experience, the vast majority of Final Cut Pro seats are not installed on MacPros. In the last 10 years, I've witnessed about a 15:1 ratio of FCP on Laptop iMac to FCP on the MacPro. Certainly
