It's hard to make suggestions without an idea of what you're working with. Can you post some stills Also, bear in mind you can set up cameras so it's *impossible* to match them. I've seen it done on a

Yes, one would think. But the relinking problems on this project make me doubt that it does works this way. That's why I'm asking if someone can tell me they've done this -- clone a media drive to an

If you do decide to transcode for offline, Avid's DNxHD should ease the transition to online. I'd rather use more storage space and ease the CPU load, especially with a large project. I just stepped i

Re: Best photo frame size for After Effects template

Not sure I understand your question: as soon as you're scaling non-vector items above 100%, the apparent quality may go down. So make your precomps 1080 also, or whatever size allows you to keep their

Can this AVID system handle 1 hour effect heavy HD project?

I am supposed to work on a 1 hour effect heavy 1080HD project next month. I am supposed to choose between AVID and FCP. I worked on the same show last year with FCP and had a good working experience.

Start at the end and working back is the normal process with a TC-referenced change list. Over the years, haven't seen anybody find an easier way.

Re: Broadcast Monitors

At least John knows he's clueless here -- that's like a breath of fresh air. John, if you haven't gotten Bob Zelin advice before, don't take it personally. Just take it. Different broadcast venues hav
valueAtTime property gives "undefined" error

When I RTFM I find that "speed" always returns a 1D, positive value, but"velocity" returns a result w the same dimension as the property. So thanks, Dan; a more elegant solution. When I plug it in, th
