hey brian if you can't work with layer control, i tend to copy&paste every time as well.. if you ctrl-select all your propertys on your layer with expressions and then right click to them you can choo

hi dan! thank you for your time! yes, the beam effect is on a 2D layer.. i tried using toComp(anchorPoint) but then the positionZ was way back in zPosition, about 1500 hmm...

You cannot push values into keys, only pull. You would do like this: t1 = key(1).time; t2 = key(2).time; v1 = 0; v2 = thisComp.layer("control").effect("example")("example"); linear(time,t1,t2,v1,v2) n
