I see this regularly - stereo clips in mono tracks in a stereo sequence. Speaker icon on track is the sign. That's a great recipe for dual mono. Add 2 new 'standard' tracks, select all clips on A1&A2

That's a way of working that I use - and I can see the merit in what you are asking. Community.avid.com has a feature request forum (but don't hold your breath) As for using markers - the avid marker
