It can't find a startup drive OS. Something got corrupted (most likely) or the startup drive has failed. I would startup off of the the installer disks that came with your Mac. You can then try repair

Hey Paul, Assuming you don't have any other Firewire devices connected to your Mac, and that you don't have any conflicting codecs drivers installed (avid, blackmagic, etc), I would say its likely you

You can't unfortunately. There's some technical issues that prevent AJA for supporting this much requested capability (unless something has changed since I spoke with them last). Tony!

The 24" iMac's are very nice and can do a pretty good job at running many pro applications. For DV editing you should be fine as long as you are using external drives and bump the RAM up to at least 2

Remove all fonts you added and things should go back to normal. Basically, remove all fonts from your Hard Drive Library Fonts folder and your Home Folder Library Fonts folder. Restart and see if ever

I've found it to be better to just fade out the transparency of the layer (pen tool - 2 keyframes) rather than trying to use a dissolve transition to do it. Problems have been common with the latter m
