Tim Cook Apologizes
by Craig Shields 5 years ago
All I could think was "why didn't he do this when they angered so many Pro users ". I think it would have gone a long way in keeping the ones they lost. http: money.cnn.com 2012 09 28 technology apple

I think everyone is missing an obvious distinction. FCP X worked as advertised. You might not have liked the direction Apple took with it, but it worked as intended. In the case of Maps, there are obv

Anyone on here cut a feature in FCP X?

I'm editing one this summer, and I plan to edit it entirely in FCPX. We are shooting all on 5D's so this shouldn't be a problem. We are currently doing VFX tests seeing how FCPX handles them. So far s

Editing scenario
by Oliver Peters 5 years ago
I'm curious about how to best cut something like this in X. I'm currently editing it in 7 and honestly, it seems like anything trackless would make it a struggle, but I'll toss this out for comment. T

Premiere vs. FCPX
by Lance Bachelder 5 years ago
Just some quick observations. Did a stabilize test on the same clip in FCPX and Premiere - this is on an 8 core Mac with non-CUDA 5770 graphics. Time to analyze took nearly double in Premiere and then

I feel like I'm missing something too. Since the X launch last summer I've tried Premiere 5, 5.5, and now 6. Unless I'm missing something I'm completely underwhelmed. True X doesn't play nice with oth

Is the name clouding our judgement?
