That's strange behavior. I would try deleting all render files, which is under Sequence file menu, select "Delete Render Files". Then also clear out your unused media cache. Which is under Preferences

Not sure what the Videoguys will tell you, but if you are doing video color grading, you don't want a cheap TN LCD panel that can't represent colors correctly. Try looking for some of the IPS panels.
