Hi There must be a setting for this, but I've been through everything I can find. Picking up an edit-to-tape from PPro CC to Digi Beta, via a Ultrastudio HD-SD downconvert we are getting 2 frames of b

is our system ok to grade for theatrical screening?
by Vagelis Kasapakis 6 years ago
Hi there, I need some feedback for the specs of our setup. We have built a small color grading room based on Davinci Resolve software. It is a grey painted dark 4x4 room. We use an 8 core Mac Pro with

Test different workflows and see what works for you. Grade 709 convert using open DCP or grade XYZ with a xyz to 709 display lut on resolve, render to 16 bit TIFFS and just do a straight mxf package o

If mac is not an option, the Media Reactor plugin from Drastic Tech should work well on windows with adobe media encoder and some other software like quicktime, no plugin for resolve as yet though. We

GUI LUT Any Chance?
by Toby Risk 6 years ago
Hi It would be really nice to be able to have a 3D LUT applied to the GUI display only. Currently, as far as I can see all the LUT's affect all the outputs, which is limiting in terms of achieving acc
Re: GUI LUT Any Chance?

Different setup ideas. If all monitors were perfect then we'd be in heaven but they aren't. Clients get a nice big plasma with a LUT on it's input to correct for deviation from REC 709. That's a LUT p
Render Job To wildcard flags problem

%L is actually the reel name as set in the Project Settings. This is an error in the documentation, and we will fix it. To fix your Alexa project, just enable the "Assist using reel numbers", and set
Resolve Disk IO performance is sluggish compared to Scratch How to Improve
by Toby Risk 6 years ago
Hi We have a Globalstor Extreme PC with 36x2TB drive raid 60, 12 core CPU, 24GB of RAM and a Quadro 6000 card. As a test this afternoon we proved that this machine is capable of playing 4K STEREO 1:1.

Hi Peter I have tried it with a 2nd GPU, an FX4000. There is an improvement, but not significantly so. The speed creeps up to 24fps and drops a couple of frames every 2 or 3 seconds, but I don't think

Hi
I have resolve v9.03 running with a Decklink HD Extreme 3 (not 3D). The card is dual link capable, so I would assume it would be possible to output Dual 422 SDI streams that can be muxed together to view on a 3D plasma, or as seperate SDI feeds into a 3D projector. However when I select the 'Enable Dual SDI 3D monitoring' option, I get an error message.
Is it possible to get a dual SDI stream out of this card or is it not true dual link for some reason.
Thanks

Hi
Can anyone point me to where the scene cut detector is in 9.03. The manual refers to a button on the bottom left of the library window in the Media screen or right clicking a clip on the conform menu. Neither seem to be there, unless I am going completely mad.

Thanks

It's not up to Blackmagic. It's decided by Autodesk. they are using the Kona 3, and they are not even using all of the features of the Kona 3 (for example, no analog CAV out to feed a plasma, even tho
