Hi guys, I have some of my home videos stored on Digital Video 8 tapes. I used to export my edited videos back to tapes a while ago. I've just decided to move all the material to hard drives. Unfortun

Thank you for your reply Jane. However, I cannot convert the video to anything since the sound is corrupt already during the capture. After I'd tried different approaches to the problem I found out th
DNxHD settings when exporting for master
by Tim Fast 6 years ago
Hi, I've searched all over the internet but find very contradictory results. I have a 1080p 25 project that has footage from both a camcorder (AVCHD, 28 Mbps) and a DSLR (H.264 MPEG-4, 24 Mbps). It's

Ok, thank you Tim. To sum up for master archiving of camcorder DSLR footage you recommend DNxHD 185 10bit with color level set to 709. Thank you all for the help! :-)

Resolution in precomped layers
by Tim Fast 9 years ago
Hello, I'm very new to AE and I've bumped onto a problem that I cannot solve by myself. I have a comp with 2D layers in it. I use it in a different comp. I use a CC Sphere effect on it and made it 3D.

I think, I've figured out the problem by myself. I believe that the resolution of my other comp ("room") is too low. When I zoom in I see pixels. Thank you for your attention though.
Simulate CC Sphere as 3D object

I didn't need the links! All the code is at the main page. Everything works as advertised. That's exactly how I wanted it to work! :-) Thanks again Kevin! And thank you Filip too. That's the second ti
Create a 3D light ray from projector

Hello, I need to create a ray of light coming from a projector (as in a cinema). There is a wonderful tutorial by Eran Stern that describes how to do it. However, I want my camera to move around in 3D

Hi , I am willing to make an effect simulating rays going from one point (cine-projector) and projecting an image. It might look like trapcode shine or light burst but reversed , I was trying to reach

Sweet! Thank you very much, Filip! The video looks just great! Believe me, I've searched all over the internet but I couldn't find anything even close in quality to this solution.
Any way to "keep" randomness when duplicating comp?
by Ze'ev Gilad 10 years ago
I'm using seedRandom (__,true) in a bunch of expressions to randomly move a bunch of objects. The problem is, when I want to work on an alternate version, I duplicate the comp (to try some new lightin

I'm sorry for the off topic but I couldn't find a way to contact you Filip by other means. There is no "Contact" or "PM" button at your profile page or I'm just blind. Anyhow, I saw your answer from y
Create a silhouette in a door opening

Hello, I've got a composition that represents a room. I've modelled the walls, the floor and the ceiling by texture layers with 3D switcher on. I have an idea to have a door in the rear wall that open

Haha, while I were typing you did exactly what I asked for. :-) Thank you! Anyhow, after I looked at your project, I realizes that I didn't succeed to find the right combination between Threshold and
