by jack westburg 12 years ago

I believe that 23.976 is also a rounded number. For simplicity's sake we calculate 24-.024=23.976 and 60-.060=59.94 but the actual formulas are 24x1000 1001=23.976024 and 60x1000 1001=59.940060. So 23

Hi All, I'm relatively new to Premiere Pro and it's driving me bananas that I can't constrain a clip vertically when moving between tracks like I could using shift + click in FCP 7. Is there a similar

+1 for locked horizontal position while moving vertically. It's really the simplest most foolproof and quickest option. I use all the workaround techniques mentioned in this thread, but I'm still miss

Needing a little help from the professional community... I recently did an interview for a 6-piece country band. I had 3 cameras and 3 audio tracks that I synced via PluralEyes. The band's manager sen

Here's what I'd try. Open up your compound clip so you can view all the clips. Select time where all the tracks are visible and add a marker to all the tracks. This way if they get out of sync when tr

Precision editing (sub-frame editing)
by adam chesbrough 7 years ago
I could be wrong but I feel as though my edits were just much sharper with FCP7 then with FCPX. Sometimes I can simply not cut to the beat because I am unable to move the edit point exactly where I wa

In my opinion retiming isn't necessarily the best solution. It may work kind of in some situations. I do a lot of audio mixing for music video. This consists of multiple camera angles shot over multip

Super excited about the new update to FCP X but noticed something that isn't as ideal for working off site and curious if anyone has any solutions. With 10.1.1 storing proxy optimized media in the Lib

No Adam, You are not unclear. I think the one point that Robin didn't get is that the proxy files don't stay connected when any part of the file path changes name - so when you have BIGDRIVE MyProject
