You're probably exporting it as individual clips which is usually only used in roundtrip workflows.

You didn't mention the Resolve version, but there were some issues with the timeline thumbnail generation causing some slow downs in some cases formats. Try turning them off or changing it to heads an

Because you're not zooming the vector information. You're zooming into the rasterized comp view.

Only denoise when needed. If you need to denoise EVERYTHING I'd probably try to fix this issue by choosing a proper camera and lighting accordingly.

I like to say I edit "with" a laptop, not "on" a laptop. I can go for days without ever opening my MBP. From the bag to the desk and then back to the bag. At the office or at home pretty much the same
