One possibility, What are the dimentions of the AE Comp. IDVD likes to see 720 X 480. 720 X 486 (DI Setting) will cause artifacts. check your comp settings and if possible go with a 720 X 480 amaphori

If it's playing from a Computer- why not leave as a QuickTime. DVD is very compressed. You could playback a nice H.264 or DVCPROHD very well from a hard drive and it will look awesome. Noah

Locate your iMovie project file in the finder - then control click on it: that gives you a contextual menu in which the fourth item down is "Show Package Contents" - that will open the project package

My company used to use LaCie drives almost exclusively. Lately we've had a lot of problems with them. I'd be curious to know whether the drives giving you problems are also LaCie. tam
