Offset keyframes randomly
by Hannes Paulsson 9 years ago
Hi! I have a comp with 256 different precomps (made another thread about this project a few days ago). All of these comps needs to rotate on the y-axis to 180 degrees. The thing is I don't want them a

Ancient post here but I just found it and wondered how you would make this behavior offset a loopOut expression Adding it at the end just overrides the offset expression. maxOffset = 10; frames seedRa

Looping noise on a light's 'visible light'. Possible?
by Stuart Paciej 1 year ago
I'm rendering animations that have looping points to save on frames and add flexibility. Whilst every animated element is set to loop every 50 frames I can't see any way to loop the noise I'd like to

- On the spot light noise quick tab - turn that noise off - create a new material and turn on only the luminance and alpha channels - in the luminance channel add a solid color or static texture if yo

Twixtor and motion vectors from 3D files advice?

Does anyone have any experience with using motion vector passes from 3D software to accurately add new twixtor generated frames to 3D software I'm getting wildly unpredictable results with the motion
Re: Twixtor and motion vectors from 3D files advice?

Thanks again, It looks like I'll have to render the other frames. Its as you thought - they take a very very long time to render so a shortcut would have been sweet. Overly optimistic too perhaps.
Rotoscope tracking workflow
by Jarrick Harris 3 years ago
Hi all, I've seen a couple of tutorials on best practice for rotoscoping and they suggest drawing the mask on a separate solid layer, and tracking the object to help the mask stay where you want it. H

Editor view and render not matching....dynamics

I am working a scene which has swinging chains colliding with solids bodies. All using Mograph rigid body tools. The animation is working great. Problem comes at render time. Some of the solid bodies

This solved the problem for me. I opened the project settings and changed frame rate to match output (for VR) and recached the mograph elements and Robert's your mother's brother it worked!
Multi shader video layers to play as videos, not stills frames.

I'm creating a previs for a sphere of video screens, I am populating the screens using the multi shader. I am doing this by loading a video on to one layer and then using the 'To Layers' function to s

Unfortunately I don't believe there is. I once had to go through that grueling process with dozens and dozens of videos.
COFFEE script modification for 3 sided polygons (or failing that a quick way to delete all triangular polygons at once)

Hello folk who are smarter than I. I am using Douwe's d_Polysize effector to populate a mograph cloner onto a complicated (but flat) plane the face of the plane is set to regular grid quads. But at th

the quick way to delete all triangular polys at once is to use the Structure manager - in the Attribute Manager choose Mode Project Info and the Structure Manager is the third tab. If you have a poly

Back to answer the question for anyone else that might come across this: 1. Extrude or loft your spline path, but change the cap from NGons to quadrangles. 2. Tick regular grid and subdivide as you se
Sketch and Toon outlines - I'm going crazy here!

Seems a bit ridiuculous that there's no in-built way to accomplish this. Does anyone know of a hack plugin script that will do it

Play composition randomly using a selection of user-defined frame ranges?

Hi, I have about 20 layers of the same composition, and I want each one to play a random frame range that I can define, so for example, 0-100 101-200, 201-300, 301-400 etc. I would also like to know h
Re: Play composition randomly using a selection of user-defined frame ranges?

I'm not sure I fully understand what you're after. You want the layer containg the pre-composition to stop playing whilst the rest of your master composition continues I think you want the time remap
