Particular complex explosions in true 3D
by Stuart Brontman 8 years ago
I'm using the Trapcode training program for Particular (by Harry Frank) and was wondering if there is a way to produce complex explosions (similar to the one in chapter 10 of his program) in true 3D s

Animation and shadow problem
by Stuart Brontman 8 years ago
I just did an animation that involved bunches of criss-crossing tubes that move towards each other. I added a light and rendered it out at full 1080p resolution, 300 frames. As the entire composition

Coverting spline into tube shape
by Stuart Brontman 8 years ago
I'm a new user of C4D and trying to create a tube version of a sine wave spline. The sine wave was created as a spline primitive formula and lengthened to fill the entire stage. I want to turn the spl

You're right about posting my solution and what you said is exactly what I did. C4D is really pretty straight-forward for a 3D program and is allowing me to figure out quite a bit on my own.

shrinking fabric fibers animation

I'm trying to create an animation showing fabric fibers shrinking. It would basically be perpendicular fibers interwoven at a preset distance apart and then have them "shrink" as if they were subject

Reflection problem

I'm working in AE 7 (WinXP Pro) on a comp that uses the Reflector plug-in several times. I moved the layers in the timeline and now the plug-in stopped working for a portion of the composition. I've r

Spanish accents in text
by Stuart Brontman 12 years ago
A couple of years ago I had to do a Spanish version of an AE project (in AE 6.5PB). I've got another project now that needs to be put into Spanish. I'm using AE 7.0 Pro but can't get the same keyboard
Re: Spanish accents in text

I'm glad to know it's not just me! With AE 6.5 it worked, so it must be some sort of AE 7 issue. When I upgrade to CS3 in the future (not yet - can't afford it yet with the entire collection) it will

I'll let you know what I find. I'm not an expert at Particular yet, but if you have any links to some good explosion presets that would be great. BTW, this will not be with red green glasses. The clie
Stereoscopic images with PI

I'm putting together a 3D stereoscopic animation in AE 7.0 and was wondering if an explosion from PI would work in this project. In AE I'm setting up two cameras side-by-side to create the stereoscopi

Explosions and VR simulation
by Stuart Brontman 14 years ago
I know this goes beyond an AE scope, but I thought I'd look for suggestions... I've been asked by a client to come up with a small, enclosed booth (max. 8' x 10') for a trade show that has an explosio

Yes, that's what I mean. It's the timing issue that's eluding me... I figure I can get some sort of rapid heat generator, but how do I time it to the video and sound. A pressure generator would be nic

I can't seem to find an answer on the forum about this, so I'll ask the question... How, or can I convert English text to Spanish within After Effects. I realize for most of the words, I can just use
