You should always try to keep everything as quads. Having that huge n-gon will make smoothing wacky. You can block it in, and make sure you have three edge loops when you want a tight edge, and smooth

Maya is definitely known for having good character animation tools. I can't speak about other software. In the end, it will be a matter of personal taste--download some trials and try out a few differ

Hello, Sala. 1. It sounds like your Move tool has 'discrete move' activated, which is different than snapping. This feature restricts movement to user-defined increments, e.g. 1 unit at a time, or 1.5

Shift-click on a plus sign next to an object's name to fully expand or collapse the hierarchy under it. Works in the Outliner and in Outliner-type panels like the one on the left in your Graph Editor.

You'll need to open your Graph Editor and set the tangents on your animation keys to 'linear' instead of 'flat'. -Steve

Well, a percentage is just a value divided by a maximum then multiplied by 100, so just do that. If what you're talking about is the frame range, the formula would be: (current frame) (max frame) * 10
