I edit 4K from the FS7 on my 2015 MacBook Pro all the time and FCPX works very well with it. Your spec should be more than enough if your media is on a fast drive. iMac will also be fine but get 32GB

Presumably a flag on the footage somewhere that says it was log, it's an irritating thing that you can't switch off by default as an option ( I have sent a request though)

I find Premiere to be very slow with Sony 4K files from their FS cameras, FCPX is much faster on my 2013 MBP with them. I expected this to be fixed a while ago but from what I've heard it hasn't!
