If the effect just needs to be really subtle you can use liquefy to just barely twist leaves around. Also, bulge can work if used sparingly for leaves that may be moving towards the camera. The tools

A better camera is never a bad thing. However, I've keyed plenty of DSLR footage with out any problems. A good light set up goes a long way. For your situation use the Key Cleaner, last time I used it

Depends on the 4K. I can edit compressed 4K with an older iMac (eg. R3D files) easily, not in full quality though. Uncompressed 4K would need some insane disk speeds.
