AE Lens Flare Jerky When Animated by Shawn Romano 10 years ago I'm having a strange problem. I'm animating the position of AE's stock lens flare and the resulting movement is jerky for some reason. Almost like the flare will "jump" every couple of frames rather t
Re: AE Lens Flare Jerky When Animated by Shawn Romano 9 years ago My ultimate solution was to use a third-party lens flare kit. I'm an experienced AE user, and nothing I tried seemed to change the bundled lens flare's shortcomings in this area. I'm using CS3, so I h
Kink in Particle motion path by John Jackowiak 10 years ago Hey guys, I made a solid and created a path in Z space between 2 points and adjusted the handles to make a curved path. I then parented the XYZ positions of my particle emitter to the solids path thro
Re: Kink in Particle motion path by Shawn Romano 10 years ago John, I have experienced this problem as well. I will tell you why I think the particles don't follow a smooth path: because Particular only reads whole frames in the spatial path, and not the interpo
Simulation will not come to rest. by Shawn Romano 10 years ago I'm getting along OK with using dynamics in C4D, but after watching numerous tutorials and doing a bunch of tests, I can't figure out how to get my objects to come to a complete stop. I have an object
Limiting Values by Shawn Romano 11 years ago Although I have been using super-basic expressions in AE for some time, I am just now starting to really dig in. I just purchased Harry Frank's expressions training from Toolfarm, and it was great but
Re: Limiting Values by Shawn Romano 11 years ago Thanks so much Dan! With a bit of tweaking, this is working quite nicely. Here's what I ended up using: d = thisComp.layer("Camera 1").transform.position 2 ; minScale = 1.5, 1.5 ; maxScale = 100, 100
