You can use the compositing options in the tint effect to use a mask to control where the effect is. Put a mask on your layer and then, in the timeline, twirl open the effects to see the tint effect a
Slide Controller For Graph Editor

Hi, Is it possible to link a slider controller to the outgoing incoming velocity, these values are visible when you double click a keyframe in the graph editor where you are able to manually enter a s

No and I don't think one should do it. That property is not suppose to be animated since it is what determines the animation. Giving access to it would break things because you could link more than on
Time Remapping Adjustment Layer

Hi, Is it possible to time remap with an adjustment layer, for example i want to have an adjustment layer above my footage layer and mask the adjustment layer with a 'delay' effect to offset the foota

I don't think Time Remapping works as an adjustment layer. If there are numerous layers in your existing comp, you could pre-comp your current composition and Time Remap the pre-comp. Jim

There's a script on aescripts.com called Zorro the layer tagger which adds all sorts of layer selection and grouping features (including inversions). (I am not affiliated with aescripts.com or the Zor

Thanks Dave, I'll take a look at colorama as one of the images are hair based, otherwise it might be a case of purchasing the software
Trapcode Shine Source Point

Is there a way to increase the radius of the source point for trapcode shine or is there an alternate method for crating a shine like with a larger source point Thanks in advance, Scott
Re: Trapcode Shine Source Point

So what you are after is larger disk of light in the light shining through your mask I don't know if that's even possible in a 3D package when doing volumetric lights (I've just never tried it with a
Pixel Per second Expression with manual stop at the end
by Scott Smith 2 years ago
Hi I was using this expression to create a slideshow of images moving across the screen veloc = 150; Move object 150 pixel on x axis per second x = position 0 + (time - inPoint) *veloc; y = position 1

I would probably precompose and manually keyframe Time Remapping, so I could get exactly the easing curve I wanted. Walter Soyka Designer & Mad Scientist at Keen Live link Motion Graphics, Widescreen
Reverse Expression

Hi, ihave the following expression assigned to a text layer selectorValue * textIndex textTotal delay = .025; myDelay = delay*textIndex; t = (time - inPoint) - myDelay; if (t = 0){ freq =2; amplitude

Like this probably: idx = textTotal - textIndex + 1; selectorValue * idx textTotal delay = .025; myDelay = delay*idx; t = (time - inPoint) - myDelay; if (t = 0){ freq =2; amplitude = 100; decay = 10.0
F-Curves: Edit Speed instead of values

In After Effects I am able to manipulate the speed and value of the XYZ co-ordiantes via the graph editor, I tend to stick to speed as this give me one curve to 'rule them all' In C4D can I switch fro

Closest equivalent in Cinema would be to assign your object a time track and adjust its f-curve.

Round Edges
by Scott Smith 5 years ago
Hi, How do I round the highlighted edges I'm looking for a nice 'fillet' look. Using the bevel too gives weird results. Thanks in advance, Scott
Re: Round Edges
by Adam Trachtenberg 5 years ago
I find it's generally best to melt all of those lines before beveling, though it doesn't seem to make much difference in this scenario. What could help is selecting the outside edge loop of the bevel

Use Mesh Commands Subdivide. If you click the little icon to the right of the command name it will pull up a dialogue where you can increase the subdivision levels.
