Storage is cheap; archive the SD in the same format it was acquired anything else will ruin it for archive purposes. That said, nothing is future -proof _______________________________________________

Easiest thing to do is simply send two timelines to Color then render everything to ProRes on the way out. Put all your ProRes material into one timeline, grade and render back to ProRes, send back to
