You could reduce the data rate somewhat to make a smaller file that will fit on the DVD. Probably wouldn't take much maybe 10% and it's doubtful anyone will notice the quality hit. . You could do this

Certainly COmpressor to DVDSP is best choice. But if you must use iDVD, skip Compressor because iDVD won't work with MPEG-2. Just bring your QT movie into iDVD. Russ
