Hi Sergio, In the old days, even now, a slate is used at the beginning of the take. That clap (now time stamped depending on the slate) is how editors marked the beginning of a segment. Using an HD en

by Kevin Patrick 2 years ago
Does a D600 really output 422 I'm looking into HDMI recorders, because they can capture 422 color sampling. But it seems to me that in order to really benefit from 422, the camera (sensor ) has to be

Hi Kevin, The D600 does record at 4.2.2 like the D800 etc. Sub sampling is part of the design and also like Steve, I'm unable to locate the threads, but memory tells me it is at 8 bit. http: en.wikipe

Hello Pam, Will you be shooting in clubs, ambient light etc. The D750 actually has a newer processor than the D800, the D4S and the D800 (I own the D3S, D800 and the D7000) so at 24MP it matches the M

Hi Jeff, That is 4.2.2 @ 8 bit. OK on the link, not that important really. The D810 so far, and the D750 even more so seem to have the current lead for h.264 based formatting. http: www.youtube.com wa
What will an upgrade from Nikon d710 to d810 get me in terms of video?

Re: What will an upgrade from Nikon d710 to d810 get me in terms of video?

Hello Andreas, As far as Nikon and video are concerned, the D810 exceeds other iterations, including the D4S because of the density even at the 2MP file level of 1080 video. That's my logic anyway. I
