This! (As in, just run into this problem and wish the CC feature set in Premiere was more... mature by now.)
Media Encoder just Stops
by Scott Shucher 5 years ago
I am a recent convert to Adobe CC2014, coming from FCP7. I've been trying to export a 15 minute 1080i(mostly XDCam & GoPro) piece from Premiere to either ProRes or h.264(Right now I'll take either). T

I feel your pain, Scott. AME crashes on me several times a day. Typically this crashes Premiere as well. Unfortunately, this requires me to shut down and restart my computer in order to open AME and P
Media Encoder Update no longer supporting 608 captioning
by Richard Angle 5 years ago
It seems that the new version (8.1) of Media Encoder strips the 608 captioning off when rendering MXF OP1A. This doesn't happen on all exports. The only commonality I can find is that it seems to happ
Media Encoder horizontally stretching and cropping off sides

When stretching material from 4x3 to 16x9 in Premiere and sending over to Media Encoder, the rendered file is often horizontally stretched out an additional 5-10 percent than what originally shows on

Dang Jeff! Thanks for sharing that! I never realized that a double render was going on when using previews was enabled. Why on Earth, I wonder, is it even an option
How to Remove a Nail on the Wall Behind the Talking Head?

Hi, I have footage of a talking head in front of a white wall but there's a big nail or screw in the wall next to the guy which I find very distracting. I'm guessing there must be a way to remove it e

Declan's advice would be perfect if only Premiere Pro included feathered edges with their garbage mattes. Not sure why they left it out as it usually makes the supplied garbage mattes almost useless.

Mike, Could be wrong here but I think the problem with renaming .mts files is that it breaks the link to the embedded mystery files in the AVCHD structure. Which in turn, destroys any connection to th

As you have witnessed, when the keyframe is slid to the end of a zoomed out timeline quickly, it "snaps" into place before the actual last frame. Drag the keyframe VERY SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY past the b

Hi all. I am attempting to move an en existing Vegas 11 project and it's respective raw footage/elements over to a new work station for completion of the program. The connections between vegas and the footage has understandably been lost and I need to relink the footage to the project. The problem is that I can't find an easy way to relink due to the file naming structure of the AVCHD CODEC that my Panny AF100 captures to. I have thousands of clips in the timeline all with the same naming structure of 0000.mts, 0001.mts etc... And Vegas is not differentiating between the many files that share the same name. Does Vegas not have a way to relink from the encoded metadata? Or does it only look at the file name itself. This is a nightmare and I don't know wheteher to blame Vegas for the lack of metadata support, AVCHD for the lack of an adequate file naming scheme, or myself for a lack of knowledge on the situation. Could someone please give me some advice as I haave a deadline quickly approaching and am at a complet loss. Thanks everybody!
