Disable "trim mode" in program monitor?

Using CC 2015 as of yesterday and I can't seem to resolve this question. I notice that when I trim the handles of a clip in the timeline, the program monitor goes into "trim mode" - meaning it splits

Since I can render H.264 directly from Vegas it's never come up. I guess if you need to do it in two steps instead of one look into the best format for importing into Quicktime. Probably MOV

Playback As in playing on the timeline It will be horrible if you edit the native HD files from the camera. Unless you have a monster machine. Or two! "The emptiest boxcar always makes the most noise.

The images appear several times per page- one beside each listing. What I ended up doing was purchasing a utility that allows Word to merge in images. Unfortunately it only allowed embedding the icon
