Hi Ramnan, You cannot create vectors in AE, but you can import vector files. If that is the case, did you turn on the continuously rasterize option for that layers Also, you can export gifs directly f
Duplicate a pre-comp and make it independant?
by Blahtor Magnus 9 years ago
If you duplicate a pre-comp, you can't change things in the new pre-comp without changing them in the mother pre-comp as well. I guess they become two clones of the same parent comp or something... In

You need to duplicate the comp in the Project Panel and also duplicate it in the comp panel. Next, with both layers selected, press "Ctrl+Alt+ " or "Command+Option+ " on macs to replace it. The only c

After Effects doesn't work with vectors, only with rasters. Most of the times the enabling of the continuously rasterize option can do the trick but you'd be better off importing the file in Ai and ex

I recommend you stay away from .MOV format as Dave says. The output quality is not that good and the file size is huge. You'll be better off sticking to MP4 with H264 compression. Here's a preset for
After Effects rendering VERY slow

Hello, Long time lurker, first time posting! When I export my video, the rendering starts out fine at a reasonable pace. But near the end, it goes at a crawling pace, going as slow as 1 frame every 2-

What export format are you using Maybe try to render it out as a PNG sequence or a JPEG sequence and see if that helps out in any way. At least if the render breaks you don't have to start all over ag

I recommend you go with MP4 (H264) with 8Mbs, VBR1. I know that Youtube likes this encoding, haven't had any problems so far. Try to render with Adobe Media Encoder, there's a preset you can use: http

Try to render it as an Jpeg Sequence, or PNG sequence, then assemble everything. Still, for your configuration, which is very solid, you shouldn't get this ridiculous render time. Maybe AE doesn't rea
move object/layer automatically and make it a loop

There's no need to necesarrily use Mocha, you can do it in AE with the 3D tracker tool. Here's a technique you can use and also add a "shadow catcher" to the element you are placing in the scene: http
