Avid only re-linking some of sequences files to original 4K media

You can also open a copy of the files in Wave Agent and set sample rate to 47.952 and it will get pulled down upon import. See my spreadsheet for these types of modifications: http: 24p.com wordpress

it seems that only a few Zoom models support timecode, such as the Zoom F8 multitrack. So knowing which recorder was used would help. Or you can open one of the WAV files in Sound Device's Wave Agent

A LongGOP format such as H.264 will always be less space than the same file in an I frame format like DNxHD or ProRes - it's the nature of the encoding formats. You can google a bunch of info on that

the ProRes files have 8 tracks of audio and the DNx files have 2 tracks. Would this cause the problem If so, is there a work around They really have to link it back to the ProRes QT's with the 8 track

Actually there IS a piece of software that allows PC's to use ProRes. It's called Miraizon DNxHD and ProRes Codecs.

She has a fairly slow Mac Book Pro with only 8GB of RAM. Might be fine for a small project, but performance will not be good on a feature film. I'm using a MacPro 2013 and performance can be sluggish

Many people have stopped using Merged Clips as they have many quirky limitations and switched to making Multicam group clips instead.

The footageis ProRes 29.97, 1920x1080. The sequence is configured to that as well It's progressive scan. Does that help
