You must select the right audio sample rate (32khz or 48khz) for capture preset. If Your tape is for example 32khz and You capture it as 48khz You most likely will lose the lip sync after few minutes.

They are good, as are every others also in that price range. But are they better than Sony s, or Ikegami s, and so on, that is a personal opinion that You have to decide in A DEMO!

You could try one of these: -Canopus ADVC-1000 A D CONVERTER -Datavideo DAC-5 DV to SDI Converter -FOCUS MEDIACONVERTER MC-2E None of these are cheap or very portable but they will make what you need.
