This is a difficult shot to expose for, you are screwed whichever way you go, but if it was me shooting I would have opted to protect the highlights and hope to dig out the shadows in post. However as

As far as I am aware. AVI Is a PC codec and Macs don't have it installed. You would have to use an application called Telestream Episode which when you purchase it comes with the codec. Alternatively

Your problem is an issue with the AJA card and premiere. You need to have it set up just exactly right. I suggest calling AJA tech support they will tell you the secret. I'm not near my computer right

Is the 48fps not meant to be slow motion If so you need to be in a 24fps timeline. 48fps run at 48 is not slow motion

What you are seeing here is interlace, you must have shot at 1080i. This can be removed successfully with compressor. Remove it before compressing for output, in other words in the original footage.

Jody I had a similar problem with my KiPro Mini and the F3. As you know there are 3 SDI connections on the F3. The two at the top A - B and the one at the side called HDSDI out. That one send out 29.9

Try making a color frame in photoshop the same resolution as your timeline and put it on video track 2 under the jpeg in order to fill the frame behind and hide the black.

At 30fps the ball will just disappear, you won't see the club at all. We have shot at 300fps and the club is still fast, but at least you can see it. A golf club at full swing is traveling at 100's of

We take the HD Analog Component cable from the camera to a AJA HD to SDI (HD) converter at the camera, then feed the SDI signal to the video Assist person who then uses the AJA SDI HD to Component SD
