Hi guys came across this image of George Clooney and wondered how the artist rendered this as I would like to render other portraits in a similar style- here's the link http: freeprintablestencils.com

It kind of depends which version of AI you have. In newer versions, you just paste the picture into a document, go to Window Image Trace, and check "Preview". Then adjust the threshold until you get t
News project

Hi everyone :) Okay so I'm doing this small project related to news. I created the word: NEWS and added a little extrude and bevel to every letter. Now I want to wrap a small article I wrote around it

If you want a seamless texture to cover the main face and the bevel, you're probably out of luck. Illustrator applies textures to one surface at a time, and the main surface and the bevel will be trea

Hi there, this is my first post here, although I've already benefited from reading old topics. Since I've found a lot of useful advice so far and am stumped on the post-production of movie, I hoped so

If you want an abrupt change, you will need two key frames right next to each other (probably one frame apart). The first key frame (1) will have the default values, the second frame (2) has the new s

If you use those CMYK values, it should show up as a slightly bluish-purple grey. You should probably up the K value and reduce the CMY values to produce a more predictable color. If you want a pure g
I could really need some assistance with my Blu-ray workflow (5.1 woes, among other things)

Hi. I make home videos and I really want to produce disks with as high a standard as I possibly can. This is the story of my family, and I don't want to cut corners. Here's the problem. I film in 5.1.

Hi, Daniel, thank you for your response. Yes, Encore won't transcode a 5.1 AC3, unless several consequtive audio video clips share the same timeline. If this is the case, Encore will build a new audio

Not really sure hat you're asking for, but if yuu want to make something animate, you probably want to look into a Flash authoring application. Illustrator is primarily for static graphics.
Illustrator created 3D to After Effects?

Just wondering what would be the best way to bring 3d text created in Illustrator to After Effects
Re: Illustrator created 3D to After Effects?

That depends. What do you want to do with it I'm not all that experienced with AE, but it probably supports standards such as PNG (bitmap) and EPS (vector). Both these formats are lossless and support

Re: how to pathfinder crop properly?

Vector lines won't crop like that, you'll have to make them filled objects. Highlight all the lines (but not the transparent square on top) and choose object expand. The lines are now filled objects a

As Joseph's link will tell you, your choice is between H.264 and MPEG-2 compression. H.264 is the most recently updated standard and will give you a better quality size ratio, but will not look as goo
How to do a "Dip to Black" with a more analog (less linear) feel?

The problem: I don't use many transitions, but when I do, I prefer simple transitions over fancy ones. The "Dip to Black" (or white) I commonly use, but they have a rather digital look. What I mean is
Re: How to do a "Dip to Black" with a more analog (less linear) feel?

If you have PPro 5.5 or newer, you should have the "film dissolve" transition which uses a linear fade. Try to use this at the end of a clip (or transition into a black video slug). I did a quick test

I'm wrestling with this a bit on my own these days, and I don't know if my current plan is going to work. The plan is to carry a 5.1 mix from Premiere Pro through Encore and onto a Blu-Ray without buy

Why not just use constant power Exponential fade ramps down (or up) exponentially, so when you place the effect between two clips the total volume level will decrease in the middle. Personally, I only

No problem. I have previously exported files with 5.1 audio from Premiere and run them from a USB stick plugged into my Blu-ray player. The channels stayed separate, so it's definitely possible. Good

I agree you should use progressive rather than interlaced. The choice between 720p-50 or 1080p-25 will depend on the source footage. In the future, try maximizing quality to the greatest degree allowe

You might want to look into displacement maps. You'll definitely need to use layer blend modes, and if the wall is at an angle you'll need to use the perspective tool.
